I write this entry to wrap-up our Great Loop blog. It's hard to believe that it's been over a year ago since I last entered something. My have things changed! One year ago we were mourning the passing of my mother, evaluating traveling plans both on land and water, and adjusting to the "next stage" of life! And then a thing, a pandemic called Coronavirus / COVID-19 hit! All of our dreams and travel plans were put on hold while we wait out and hope for the pandemic to run out its course.

We spent the summer of 2020 on the waters of the TN River in Chattanooga, practicing social distancing and wearing a face mask! No faraway travels, only adventures to the grocery hoping to find toilet paper, paper towels, and basic cleaning supplies! But we survived, remained healthy and persevered through a fall presidential election like no other. We've foregone visits with friends, cancelled holiday events with family, and have learned to hold virtual get-togethers. We even got our COVID-19 vaccine! We're waiting for life to return to "normal", whatever that is!
