A beautifully smooth ride from Tobermory, ON to Drummond Island, MI on the outside of the Mantoulin Islands and into the St. Marys River to Drummond Island Yacht Harbor. The 110 mile run took only 6 hours and I felt we could have gone farther. I checked into the country via the CBP app and within minutes we were cleared for re-entry. We will stay the night and if we have good weather tomorrow we’ll be in Harbor Springs by early afternoon.

Lake Huron is a beautiful color of blue and the water is very clear and deep. My depth sounder stopped sending info at 339 feet. We entered the St. Marys River slightly ahead of a freighter and the water color changed to turquois, similar to the Gulf of Mexico.

We have cleaned up and will borrow a car from the marina and head into town for dinner.

Water temp is 61’; air temp mid 70’s. Must bring a sweater tonight.
