Just a quick note tonight. We made it back to Harbor Springs, the place where we began our 2019 cruising season! Hard to believe we’ve been on the water nearly 3 months! We pounded through 3-5 ft head seas today before turning at Gray’s Reef to enjoy (not really) a beam sea for 5 miles when we were finally able to enjoy a trailing sea into Little Traverse Bay and around the point into Harbor Springs Municipal Marina. We’re here for a couple of days before shifting to Walstrom Marine marina for a month (?). Temps have dropped considerably from yesterday. High today 68’. Right now we’re wearing sweaters / sweatshirts before heading to the New York restaurant for dinner! And this is July!! We thought we might go to Beaver Island on our way to HS but when a spot in HS opened we decided to take it! We’re on the main boardwalk outside of the Pier Restaurant and are thoroughly enjoying the passing parade. The water is as high as I have ever seen it in nearly 40 years of coming to HS. I would guesstimate 30” of space between the dock and water level. We have been here when we’ve had to climb down ladders and board on the side of boats in order to get on.

Enjoyed a nice couple of days in Mackinac City More later.
