The AIS is up and running! Awesome to “see” other boats with it!

Running through the system check down this PM and discovered a starboard engine / steering / transmission default. I don’t know the extent of the default but I’m considering any default at this time serious. Trouble shooting through the owner’s manual hasn’t gotten me closer to the cause. So, I’ve reached out to a local Volvo Penta marine dealer and hope to get some intel today. Without a cure we’ll need to postpone our departure. Safety first!

I can’t tell when the next window might appear but clearly it won’t be this week. Expecting warmer weather this weekend with increasing southerly and s/w winds will increase seas to 5-7 feet. So maybe we’ll play golf if we have to wait for repairs. In the meantime, Barbara is out riding the bike and I’ve been able to borrow our dock mate's bike! Such is life on the water. One day at a time.
