I don’t have much battery power remaining in the iPad or phone (have to use a hot spot due to poor WIFI reception) so this will be a short post. Another blustery cold day today on the water. Left Demopolis and the TN Tom and entered the Black Warrior River. Strong north winds and a swift current made locking a big challenge. We're now at Bobby’s Fish Camp, about 100 miles and one lock downriver from Demopolis. We’re tied off a dock in the Black Warrior River surging with flood waters! I can guarantee a noisy night tonight! Tomorrow on to Mobile Bay, about 130 miles and one lock. The proprietor tells me this just above the insurance company's “hurricane line” and the dock gets packed with folks either fleeing hurricanes or looping in spring / fall.

For our boating friends who have yet to experience Bobby’s, imagine tying off a dock in the TN River gorge with high water and strong winds!

Right now beautiful sunny skies with a clear, cold night forecasted. Maybe prime opportunity to star gaze. Doesn’t seem like there is much around here.
