Forecast for the 100 mile crossing from Harbor Springs to Fayette appears acceptable at this time. Seas 2’ ft or less with a north wind of 13 kts receding to 5 kts. Estimated departure 0800 hrs, pump out then hit the bay and open waters. Course is nearly westerly, adjusting slightly for the Fox Islands due west of HS. We’re fully provisioned; only need to pump out and maybe top off fuel. Off loaded potable water storage tank and re-loaded fresh today. Hate to leave HS, it’s our home away from home. Deep roots and deep attachment. But the season is too short! Right now we’re losing 3 minutes a day at sunset! Sunset is now at 2039 hrs and falling! Tonight’s temp is forecasted to be 49’! I’ve turned the a/c off; might need the heaters in the AM.

Sad to say goodbye to so many nice dock mates. Brian and Sharon, Karen and Cary, Costas and Robyn, Kathleen and Alla, Sean and Mary, Dick and Peg; I’m sure I’ve missed someone - sorry! More after dinner!
