Okay, a slow Internet issue yesterday cause my update to disappear into the dark web. This mishap gave me some time to check my postings. I discovered my “route” is being marked according to highways. I’m trying to correct the routing and show it via the waterways. Please bear with me.

So, we made it to Grand Harbor Marina at the confluence of TN River and the TN-Tom yesterday. Traveled through two locks, Wheeler (the longest) and Wilson (the tallest). Relatively an easy ride but for the 2 hour idle wait at Wilson due to a huge tow coming upriver. How huge? Three barges wide and seven barges deep. These tow captains have been very courteous to us.

Because rain was forecasted we decided to spend the day in (wherever we are) Counce, TN / Corinth, MS. It is here (or near here) where AL, TN, MS all come together. Tomorrow we hope to be underway to Fulton, MS and Midway Marina about 50 miles down the TN Tom. Weather is clear for the next three days so we’ll be moving each day. Looks like we may hold up at Columbus, MS for the next round of weather to pass.

Borrowed the marina’s car and went into Corinth, about 20 miles west. The Admiral needed a manicure and we needed to visit Walmart to re-provision some items. People could not have been nicer! The Admiral is happy (and thusly so am I).
