Underway @ 0900 hrs and everything ran perfectly! Easy three hour run up the AICW without any rain. Still experiencing strong east to southeasterly wind and a 2 ft chop in the bay. Motored into Biscayne Bay toward downtown Miami and into the shipping channel / Port of Miami. Headed out toward the Atlantic Ocean and turned into the Miami Beach Marina just short of the south end of the island. Marina folks are friendly and helped get into a slip - third one in from the sidewalk and steps away from the life and vibe of South Beach.

Many fancy and exotic boats here. Met the crew for our next slip neighbor - very nice couple. We’ll tend to a few catch up items this afternoon and go to Joe’s Stone Crab for dinner tonight. Tomorrow we’ll hit the pavement and see South Beach by foot or bicycle. Need to re-provision before moving along to North Palm Beach for the Memorial holiday weekend. Although we would prefer to stay here, rates are the equivalent of a 5 star hotel. Can’t afford to stay too many nights! And there is a tropical depression building south of Cuba that is expected to affect our weather. Need to keep moving with hope of finding sunshine!
