Supposed to move ahead to Key Largo on Monday but the monsoonal rains continue here in Marathon. I was anticipating running outside to an outside based marina but the forecast of rain and seas of 4 - 5 ft + appear to preclude that idea. We’re experiencing a consistently southeasterly wind up to 15 kts that just doesn’t offer a smooth ride. So on to Plan B. Plan B is to run the inside instead and go to Islamorada, about a 35-mile run. We’ve made alternative marina reservations and we’ll make our final decision tomorrow. Rain is highly likely but 1-2 ft inside seas are more tolerable than outside seas.

We haven’t done much touring since we arrived due to the weather. Yesterday was an intown day to get haircuts and re-supply on a few items. However, we have eaten very well! This area has a lot of very good restaurants!

Looks like our morning showers have broken and this may be the time to go to the pool just behind the boat. Some very pale folks (obviously not boaters) have already made their way poolside. Need to fill the Yeti cups and go!
