Back on the boat after a week away - it’s great to be back! While we were away, we were able to pick up another folding bicycle. This one has 16” wheels and is considerably smaller and lighter than our other folding bike. It’s a beautiful day here and we rode the bikes over to Sand Key, a key located to the south of the Clearwater inlet. Nice little ride with outstanding views from the top of the causeway bridge. Lots of people walking, riding bicycles, and people heading to and from the beach.

Working on plans for our next stops. Thursday, we head to Naples for a week to visit Sharon and Kevin. Then we go to Marathon Key and Faro Blanco marina. We're trying to coordinate a stay in Miami Beach but we’re starting to back up to the Memorial holiday weekend. Looper rule of thumb is to travel during the week and be in port over the weekends to avoid the local crazies on the water.

While at the Looper’s conference we picked up marina and traveling guidebooks for the rest of our trip. This tip was offered by our last set of dock mates who were from Ft. Myers. It may be generational, but the paper version seems to be easier to use than the electronic version. So, we’re about as prepared as we can be as we plan to head up the east coast. Speaking of the Looper conference, all destinations from the Chesapeake to Chicago look fantastic!

Tomorrow we’ll pump out and go for a little boat ride up to Dunedin, a little bayside town north of Clearwater on the GICW. Wednesday I’ll set the GPS coordinates and do our normal check down.
