Played Chestnut Valley yesterday in advance of predicted rain for today. The course was in great condition especially since northern MI hasn’t had much, if any, rain recently. The fairways and greens were well watered. The roughs were a different matter! We also played Springbrook Hills near Boyne Falls on Sunday. Springbrook is a grip it and rip it course - wide open. Chestnut Valley is a narrower course defined by tree lined fairways and some water hazards.

As I write this at 1000 hrs, no rain has fallen and it appears most, if not all of the rain will stay to the south of us. So it’s a cloudy, cool day - a good day to run into town for some groceries. Weather should clear tomorrow and hopefully we’ll be able to have the props installed early in the day and be able to go out for a spin.

Lisa and Chris Shook, our dear friends from downstate MI, are coming to visit this weekend and we want the boat to be ready for them and more adventures. I noticed the weather / lake forecast for Lake MI from Grand Haven to Manistee is for heavy seas - up to 8’ for the next couple of days. The weather system must be being strong winds with it. Hopefully conditions will calm down during their visit.
