Greg, the service tech here at Aqua Harbor, has diagnosed our potentiometer issue. The diagnostic code is presenting a different code than previously sent. The issue appears to be a lose connection somewhere between three of the four on-board computers. The solution is to ohm test the wiring components and find the culprit. Obviously this is something that will take time to trouble shoot and, unfortunately, more time than what we have right now. So tomorrow we’re going to leave the boat here, rent a car and drive home to Atlanta for a week. In the meantime they’re finding a slip for us to leave the boat (without charge!) and we’re eyeing what we need to remove at this time. I’m also checking my maintenance requirements and will likely have those things done while we’re away.

It’s a little frustrating to be this close to home port but since this is a full service marina with travel lift and Volvo Penta certifies techs, we can make lemonade from our lemons. As I’ve said before no two days are alike when living on the water!
