Oh well. Evidently, I lost another lengthy post to the black hole of the Internet. Yesterday afternoon I posted about our trip to Chicago and last night I posted some more photos, all of which have gone missing. I’ll need to keep it brief because we need to soon leave for the architectural boat tour of Chicago. Sea conditions yesterday were mixed. Waves came at us from three different directions, s/e, s, and e. Never had experienced that before. It made for a very choppy ride. We’re staying at the Chicago Yacht Club, paralleling Millennium Park, just south of the Chicago River. Last night we ate at a French restaurant about eight blocks from here - very good but a little pricey. I cannot believe how high the sales tax is in Chicago - 13%!

Lake water is very high in Chicago. Breakwaters have little effect in keeping waves, wakes, etc., at a minimum. Last night we rocked and rolled all night long. Reminded us the days we spent in San Destin bouncing around in the marina. Looking forward to some land time today.
