The props are pulled and on their way to Algonac. Scheduled return is Thursday. Electronics wizard, Brian, is on board today checking systems for defaults. A “drive engage” cannot be done without the props so that will occur later. The diagnosis for the radio is to get a new one. I’ll be surfing the Internet to comparison shop. In the meantime we’ve rented a car from Mark Pearson, a family friend of Dana Chapman here at Walstrom. The network comes together again! Our near term plan is to explore this area, re-stock the boat, play some golf and enjoy ourselves.

We have enjoyed the company of our dock mates from London, ON over the past sat couple of nights. Dan and Pat Catton have been a lot of fun.

Virgil and Dorothy Kreder from Egg Harbor, WI called the other night checking in on us. They’re in Harbor Springs for a couple of days. Unfortunately we won’t be able see them now but hope to do so later on.

I checked out the run to Fayette, MI on the north shore of Lake Michigan and its 120 miles from Cheboygan. Fayette has been recommended to us because it is a dark harbor with an abandoned town nearby. We’ll need to do a little more research into it but we’re likely to go there.
