We’ve been bicycling around the historic district during the past several days and seeing Charleston like we have never seen it. We have traveled from the Ashley River to the Cooper River on the streets that connect the two rivers and occasionally we’ll take the perpendicular streets to and from the Battery trying to avoid the heavily traveled streets such as Meeting and King and the presents the carriage horses leave. There are so many neat old houses, shops, and restaurants tucked in that area. In fact, we “found” a house that we liked and is for sale. We got on the Internet to get the info on it and, well, let’s just say it’s priced a little out of budget! We discovered a neat little French bistro and had dinner there Friday night - fantastic. Check out Bistro A Vin, worthy of your time.

Yesterday we biked to the grocery store, packed our traveling bag, and strapped it on the bike, and rode back to the boat. There was a beautiful breeze, and we were able to sit on the back of the boat and enjoy it! Neat way to deliver groceries.

Servicing on the boat should be completed today and we’ll be moving on to Georgetown, SC.
