After months of preparation we got away today at precisely 0730. Weather conditions were favorable; sunny but cool and windy. Chickamauga and Nickajack lock masters were waiting for us and we moved through the locks without delay. River current was strong but manageable and fuel consumptions was ~ 1 gal. / mile at an average speed of 16 mph! This boat can move! Had a little difficulty finding the sweet spot at speed / rpm / fuel burn due to ~ 3 - 5 knot current. Made the 95 mile run to Scottsboro, AL in ~ 6 hrs.

We’ll explore the marina and have an early dinner. Tomorrow we’re heading Joe Wheeler State Park, another 95 mile run.
