In Chattanooga waiting for a break in the rain in order to top off fuel and pump out holding tank. Checked TVA this AM and they’re flowing about 58k cfs (cubic feet per second) while adding 69k cfs which means they’re retaining water instead of allowing all of the accumulated rain to flow through. This figure is critical to monitor because at 100k cfs USCG would likely close the river to navigation. USCG determines whether the river is open for navigation. Rain is supposed to stop this PM. That said, we’re looking forward to departing 2 March at 0900, again weather and river conditions permitting. The Admiral (Barbara) has fully stocked the boat so we can wait it out if necessary. See new photo from the bow of our sheltered boat anxiously looking outward!
