Forecast of clear skies and sunshine was not true! Woke up to gray skies, mist, and a fog rising from the river. Worst of all is we’re still in Iuka, MS. Why? Because the port engine potentiometer is misbehaving and I’m unwilling to travel any distance with it malfunctioning. Fortunately the marina next door is a Volvo Penta certified facility. So after getting into the TN River and the boat failing to respond to throttle commands, I turned around and called Aqua Harbor marina and explained the symptoms and our situation. They’ll try to have someone look at it this afternoon, tomorrow at the latest. If, and that’s a big if, they can fix it (again!) then we’ll move ahead. If not, we’ll leave the boat here, rent a car and drive home to Atlanta. So close and yet so far. I’m at a loss to explain this recurring issue. It appeared Walstrom had fixed it for good when we were in Harbor Springs in August. I’ll be talking to Walstrom about some restitution - a failure in less than 60 days??!! It doesn’t seem right.

However, there is some good news. One, we have 5G Internet connection and two, we now receive four TV stations!

Our timetable continues to adjust. However, we must get home, one way or the other by Sunday.
